Happy Mother’s Day Mom!!
This year my gift to you is the sharing of my garden. When I come to visit you in June, or when you next come to visit me, I will share my plants with you for your garden!
I’ve already dug up some Hellebores seedlings for you. It could be quite a variety of colors.
And I’ve got some Hostas that are overgrowing…
This variety, Golden Tiara, is fairly small but so pretty with lavender flowers.
There is also some Honeybells coming your way (at least I think that’s what it is) also with pretty lilac colored flowers.
There are a couple types of Japanese Painted Ferns that have such unique coloring.
And some Hardy Begonia seedlings, which turn into grand looking plants with delicate pink flowers.
Here’s what they look like all grown up:
And then later, in mid-June, I can take cuttings of the leucothoe to propogate!
Which become quite nice 4′ rounded, elegant looking plants that love the shade.
So start thinking of places you want these plants to go! They may be small at first, but will soon grow.
I love you very much and miss you lots too. I think about you when I’m out in the garden, and how much you would love to see it all year round.
Happy Mother’s Day mom!
