The weather has been crazy here in Virginia this winter. One day it might snow, and the next is nearly 70 degrees and sunny. The other day I counted 28 of the 50 daffodil bulbs I planted this fall, poking their little stiff leaves out of the cold ground. Also, I wonder if my snapdragons are going to survive the winter unscathed to become snapdragon behemoths this spring.
Winter is a time for hibernation, most plants take some time off to replenish their systems so that they may regenerate larger and stronger every year. Personally, winter is a time where I take a moment to step back and reflect on projects I’d like to focus on in the upcoming year. I feel that with the weather typically cold, I can’t count on doing many activities, or crafting, outside. So it becomes a time to plan and regroup.
I’m still formulating what I’d like to accomplish this year, but I do know that I would like to finish projects and not just start them. I have some great crafty ideas, and I hope I can get myself in order to share them with you!
