2013 DIY Recap

Hmm…well considering I took nearly half the year off, and my most popular posts are still some of my older posts (like Spray Painting a Bookshelf and DIY King Headboard) it’s still fun to take a look back through the year and see what I made (and posted about).

Looking back, I see I really didn’t post much this year.  Oh well, even though it wasn’t a DIY project, my master bath renovation took up quite a bit of my time and energy.  I did manage to post about making a ceramic heart necklace.

For my sister’s wedding in May, I made burlap table runners with grosgrain ribbon on the edges.

Here is the best picture I have of it in use, taken by my Dad (or one of his friends):

Pretty much the blog was then silent for a while because I was busy buying and selling a house!

I came back with a corn husk wreath from a Martha Stewart tutorial for the fall.

I made a faux alligator skin gold paper covered box, which is so pretty and shiny!

And I ended the year with a Christmas gift I made for a family member- a cloth pencil case with ribbon tie.

Overall, it was a great year!  I am looking forward to 2014 because I think it’s going to be even better!
