This was a fairly quick and easy project! I was inspired by Mandi’s DIY simple Himmeli ornaments on Vintage Revivals and one of the latest Chic Maker jewelry kits I got in the mail. Included in this particular jewelry kit were long skinny brass/gold colored beads that are perfect for making mini-Himmeli inspired jewelry. I used Mandi’s tutorial for making the earrings, and then just added a loop and a clip on earring to the top. There are soooo many tutorials out there however, so use which ever one makes most sense to you. I will say it took me a few tries to get the whole thing together- and I used string instead of wire BUT I think I should have used wire.
One of the earrings has already sort of deconstructed itself, which means that I need to use something a little more heavy duty than the string I got in the kit. I will probably use wire, but I also have some tigereye string left (which may not bend as nicely). I also thought you could construct this with a gem or special bead in the center, being held in place by the other beads.
I like the simple, geometric quality of it. I have the same beads in silver too, I think I’ll go make some more. I don’t have pierced ears, and rarely wear any kind of earring, but these are fun to wear. :)

Great idea–they’re so cool!
Thanks Steph!
These are beautiful. I was really drawn to her tutorial as well, but I never would have thought to make earrings!
Thanks Jessica!
